That's right, 4/5 cases of type 2 diabetes, stroke and heart disease can be prevented with simple lifestyle changes, such as eating well, exercising and getting enough sleep! We know that today, globally, the biggest threat to health are those chronic non-communicable diseases, not infectious disease. Although that's a scary thought, we also have the power to turn it all around. The science is there. We know what we need to feed ourselves in order to have the best chance at a healthy life. It seems confusing with all the different fad diets and seemingly opposing ways of eating (Hello vegan! Hello Paleo!) The truth is that all diets that lead to better health outcomes have one thing in common: they are all very low in processed food. This sounds simple enough, but for various reasons it's very challenging to put in to practice in our daily lives.
